PHP- Tips

I have been an ASP man for years. Recently however I found a need to program a project using PHP and I must say to my surprise I found the experience exhilarating, for programming anyway.

Biggest pitfall in PHP is the requirement of the semicolon as a terminator for each line of code. One reason I liked ASP was there was no such silly requirement. Your first attempts at PHP will likely be fraught with error messages about ... << MORE >>

pickleknifedonkey.com one of my best domain acquisitions of 2009 - Now the trouble is how to develop it into a money making domain?!? It seems obvious that a domain name that is made up of exactly the kind of words that normal people would use to describe or find your web site on a search engine it the best type of domain name of all!  Famously many single word domain names are taken names like pizza.com for example. New domain names: .Info .US .biz .ME .name

In the bad old days there was only .com .net .org and a few others like .edu and .gov - but now! some of my new favorites are .US - for the good ol' USA and I like BIZ and INFO too. Then there are some personal one .ME and .NAME - did you know .TV was for really for the country Tuvalu! Who knew?
